Just as no two sets of fingerprints are alike, the same can be said for timber. Being a natural product, variations in grain and colour as well as knots can occur which adds to the beauty of timber benchtops. All timbers will mellow with age and will need occasional maintenance to maintain their look, just as you would a piece of fine timber furniture.
It is recommended that spills are wiped immediately and also to use a suitable heat pad when placing hot pots / pans on the benchtop.
For everyday cleaning, use a drop of washing up liquid and warm water.
